A roofing website built to turn storm worry into booked inspections

Tallow Creek Roofing is a fictional Statesville roofer I designed to show what a trades website can do when it is built around how customers actually decide: quickly, a little stressed, and comparing two or three companies on a phone. Because the business is made up, there are no results to claim. This page is about the thinking and the build.

The goal

Make the next step obvious

After a storm, a homeowner is not browsing. They are looking at a damaged roof, or one that has been on their mind for years, and asking who they can trust to actually show up.

So the site has one job: get them to a free inspection with as little friction as possible. Everything else on the page supports that.

  • The storm line and a free inspection button stay in view on every page
  • License, insurance, and warranty show up on the very first screen
  • One short estimate form instead of a maze of options

What I built

What is on the site, and why it is there

01

A damage check you can do from the driveway

A drawn house with six numbered spots. Tapping one explains what that kind of storm damage looks like and how to check it safely from the ground, and adds it to a list that goes into the inspection request.

02

A price range before the phone call

A slider and a few choices give a rough range and a sample monthly payment. It answers the question people hesitate to ask, and it shows an honest range instead of a "call for a quote" wall.

03

A page for the worst day

The storm damage page walks through what to do after a storm and how claims work, step by step, with a clear option for a leak happening right now.

04

Proof you can see

A before-and-after slider shows the same house with storm damage and with a new roof, and a photo gallery opens each project large. Pictures do more than a paragraph about quality.

Feature

Help first, then ask for the call

The tap-the-house tool gives a worried homeowner something useful to do right away. They learn what to look for, tap the spots that apply, and their list goes straight into the inspection request.

The roofer gets a better first conversation, and the homeowner already feels looked after.

Feature

A price range before anyone picks up the phone

Roofing is a big purchase and most people want a ballpark before they commit to a visit. The cost tool takes home size, stories, roof shape, and material, and returns an estimated range with a sample monthly payment.

It is clearly marked as an estimate, and the next step is always a free inspection for the real number.

On a phone

Built for the phone in someone's hand

Many people look for a roofer from their phone, often in a hurry. The call button follows them down the page, the buttons are large enough to tap, and the tools work with a thumb.

The layout was designed on a phone first, then opened up for the desktop.

The idea behind it

What a site like this is meant to do

Make calling easy

The phone number and the inspection button are always within reach, so nobody has to hunt for how to reach you.

Answer the quiet questions

Cost, financing, and insurance claims are covered clearly, so the questions people are shy about do not stop them.

Look as established as you are

A business that has done good work for years should not have a website that looks like it started last week.
